Opening Night & Home Stand #1

It's a privilege and a blessing (most days) to be in the business of baseball. Unlike the 24x7x365 world of broadcasting, there's a rhythm to baseball. We get to start over every year! And countless writers have opined about the union of a season's beginning and springtime. If you gotta work, this does have its magical moments...like tonight when the gates open at 6pm.

It dawned on me this morning, that I'm beginning my 15th season with the Bulls. "The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places..." The writer of Psalm 16 must have played baseball - three millennia ago!?!

If you have gathered with family and friends for Easter or Passover (or just a beautiful spring weekend) join us in Durham. We'll be here at the DBAP...
